Brief Company History
In 2003, Skylite Advertising was officially registered in the Philippines as a Single Proprietorship. It all started with a man who was driven, determined and had an artistic talent. This man had a mere thought that has now become a huge vision. After working as a Junior Accountant at Pizza Hut for almost two years, he decided to take the plunge and start his own business to pursue his dreams. Skylite Advertising was a one-person operation and the key to its success was the owner’s creativity, commitment, and fortitude. He viewed clients as an asset, not just as a means of making money. In 2006, Ben Colminas set up a second advertising firm in Talaba, Bacoor, Cavite which he named COLMINAS ADVERTISING.
In 2009, Skylite Advertising Studio was turned into a partnership and registered under the name Skylite Advertising Studio Co., Ltd. This resulted in an expansion of the business, from being a 100% signage contractor and designer to a full-fledged sign advertising and multimedia design company. Skylite Advertising Studio has been the recipient of numerous awards, such as National Awards from the Asia Pacific Awards for “Best Multimedia and Advertising Company in the Philippines” as well as Golden Globe Awards for “Certified Best Advertising Company in the Philippines.”
Ben Colminas was a self-taught designer who managed to become highly skilled in multimedia design, thanks to his dedication to reading books and watching online tutorials. He was an absolute pro with just about any design software and web programming technology.
Ben Colminas has achieved an impressive 8 championships in arts and painting competitions between 1992 and 2007. Before he founded Skylite Advertising Studio, he was involved in painting, designing, silkscreen printing, and mural work to fund his studies. Even while studying in Manila, he was able to secure part-time roles as a graphic and mural artist – and you can check out some of his awesome painting creations here. page. Some of these paintings were delivered to cue artist Efren “Bata” Reyes (The Magician) and company.
At the start of 2017, Skylite Advertising Studio stepped up their game with a new business name – Skylite Advertising Studio Co., Inc. – located in Panapaan I, Bacoor City, Cavite. They’ve become the first advertising firm with a brand-new signage showroom. It features a visitor area, employee canteen, two mini lounges, guest room, meeting room, beautiful office, design studio, and a 500+ sq meters signage production area equipped with new computerized sign-making technology.
